SGS

The SGS 2009 Convention, Show & Sale was held in Marietta, Ohio, in late July.  The theme for the Club Display was “A World of Dolphins” and featured glassware with dolphins made from ca. 1850 to 2009.  While most of the glass on display was iridescent stretch glass, the exhibit also included examples of dolphin glassware made by Boston & Sandwich Glass, Heisey, Cambridge and others – even a few pieces for which the manufacturers have yet to be identified.  If you are a fan of dolphin glass, you will enjoy the photos of the 2009 SGS Club Display which appear along with an article about the convention by Convention Chair, Pam Steinbach.
